Citizenship
The objectives of this outcome are set forth to ensure that a student will understand the democratic process and principles under which we live; be a participating and involved member of the community; and be a responsible, globally aware and tolerant citizen.
For several years now I have been volunteering at my church's week long day camp. I get assigned a different age group each year and have always enjoyed helping them. Before hand the helpers and teachers go to a meeting and learn all the important information. Everyday I would take them to children's worship, lead them to their classes, carry the extras they brought that day, and take them to lunch. Everyday was a different lesson and new activities, and it gave the children time to get to know one another. This certificate represents the long hours I worked to help the day camp run smoothly.
Every year at my school the choir puts on a madrigal dinner. The classes involved are Women's Chorus and Concert Choir. I have participated in the madrigal dinners for three years. The choir members act as servants by bringing the audience their meals. The above two pictures are the front and back of the program from the event with all the songs we sang and all the members of the choirs with my name circled in yellow.
